Thomson Drilling is an RC drilling specialist company based in Southern Cross in the mineral rich Yilgarn area.

Starting off 16 years ago with a small RAB rig Thomson the founding and current owner has developed the company into a professional organisation with a strong commitment to safety, the needs of the client and a desire to continually keep improving all aspects of the business.

Leon still works by the motto "WE DON'T DRILL HOLES, WE EXTRACT SAMPLE" and takes pride in knowing his drillers can extract the sample as requested by the client in any location around Australia in a safe professional manner.

Yard & Workshop

LMD operates out of a fully stocked and equipped workshop/yard allowing in-house servicing and fabrication. Our qualified fitters ensure the drilling rigs, equipment and vehicles are maintained in top working order.

Drilling experience

LMD boasts a wealth of experienced RC drillers, with 4 of the company’s senior drillers each having more than 16 years of RC drilling experience in all types of ground conditions. Thomson has an Advanced Diploma in Drilling Management. Two senior drillers have completed Diplomas of Drilling.
